Pacific Rim: How to Download and Install the Game on Your PC

In 2020, there was a Steam link on Google but it is no longer there in 2022. Instead, all results pertaining to the 2013 version have been replaced with the pay to win mobile version. Adding negative operators such as '-mobile', '-android', '-bluestacks', '-iphone" only brought up spammy dodgy download websites and old guides and tutorials for the game.

Pacific Rim: Jaeger Combat Simulator was developed to promote the 2013 film Pacific Rim, directed by Guillermo del Toro. Released June 22, 2013[1], Jaeger Combat Simulator is a tie-in game connected to pacificrimmovie.com's Jaeger Designer. The game's website has since become defunct and is only accessible by web archives.

Before starting the game, players were required to link to the game through their Facebook account.[3][note 1] Afterward, they could choose to load a preexisting Jaeger they created in the Jaeger Designer, or create a new design. Using their custom Jaeger of their choice, they can enter the game through the menu.

Before each mission, the player must walk through the "Simulator Room", the central pre-game menu that allows the player to choose which level to visit and which Kaiju to fight. Additionally, there are seven characters from the film to choose as a co-pilot: Raleigh Becket, Mako Mori, Cheung Wei Tang, Aleksis and Sasha Kaidonovsky, and Herc and Chuck Hansen.

Characters do not effect gameplay nor influence the performance of the players customized Jaeger created in the Jaeger Designer. The Simulator Room tallies how much the player has acclimated in score, how many enemies were killed, their present rank and their accuracy in combat.

There are three cheat codes available to use in the game. Typing in "HEART" allowed the player to play with their custom Jaeger design and receive only 10% in damage during combat. "DRAGON" was the game's "Hardcore Mode" that increases the difficulty of the gameplay, and "PLAYON" unlocked all four missions available.

The Pacific Rim video game is a digital downloadable title released on Xbox LIVE that recreates the epic battles between massive Jaegers and Kaiju depicted in the film. The character models to appear in the game were created from the same model data used in the film, allowing the Jaegers and Kaiju in the game to remain true to their original forms. Each Jaeger and Kaiju is unique in design, with their own weapons and fighting styles, meaning players will have to alter their tactics to account for the attributes of their character and opponent.

This may include using a plasma cannon against a flying opponent, or using speed to your advantage against a bulky giant. The game will feature a variety of landscapes, from ocean waters to city, and will also contain destructible buildings in the stages. You can do a Power Move and a Fatal Assault move for each character. Power Moves are stronger regular moves and do a lot of damage to your opponent. Fatal Assault moves instantly KO your opponent, but they leave you vulnerable while they charge up. Plus, your opponent can dodge a Fatal Assault move which leaves you vulnerable for an attack as well. The different character's Power Moves and Fatal Assault moves are listed below.

Pacific Rim: The Video Game was announced through the Australian Classification Board. The game was "E+10" by the board for fantasy violence.[14] Shortly thereafter screenshots from the game were leaked online by a user on NeoGaf.com[15] and some websites were requested by Yuke's to remove them[16]. Polygon.com reported that Yuke's intended to release the game on as multiplatform game[2]; platforms presumably included Windows and PlayStation Network. On July 7, 2013 Yuke's released the first teaser trailer for the Xbox 360.[17]

Downloadable content that expands the playing field will be released, including more Kaiju and Jaegers from the film, new battle stages, and extra missions. Additional downloadable content released periodically will give users more options for assembling and customizing their own personal Jaegers to combat the diverse fighting techniques employed by the Kaiju.[7] Players can join one of the online teams to battle against other users around the world. You can also pit one Kaiju against another to create match-ups not featured in the film.

Pacific Rim fever hit me harder than an Elbow Rocket to the face on opening weekend. I turned my brain off and bore witness to Guillermo Del Toro's mighty robot Jaegers as they thrashed colossal Kaiju up and down a huge Imax screen. After it was all finished I was hooked. I needed so much more. Going against everything I know about licensed games, I decided to pick up the Pacific Rim XBLA game. I have one word of advice for you: Don't.

Technically, Pacific Rim: The Video Game isn't the worst game I played this month. It's definitely not the best. It's not even ok. It's pretty much what you'd expect it to be: a limited licensed game with bare-bones presentation and enough movie assets to make it a recognizable marketing tie-in.

Pacific Rim is a very simple fighting game with some customization options hampered by poor controls, lousy visuals, repetitive gameplay, no story, and microtransactions. Yeah, that's right. After I plunked down ten bucks for this stinker they wanted to charge me for extra characters and stages. The game began with a measly three Jaegers and two Kaiju as playable fighters. Three other Kaiju were available for four bucks apiece. Unacceptable. I honestly forget how much they wanted for the extra stages, and since I feel the urge to kill rising I refuse to look it up.

Then I talked up the Jaeger customizer, and how we were going to make a purple robot for her. After we went through the simple customization process I opened up the color customizer and was told that none of my cosmetic changes would be saved until I paid three dollars for the "Jaeger Designer" feature. This crummy game was going to charge me even more money for the luxury of painting my daughter's Jaeger. I'd like to type in all caps right now, but I'm not going to.

Yuke's Co,, Ltd., the developer and publisher, wanted an extra three bucks for paint --and this wasn't special paint. We're talking any paint. Not wanting to incur the wrath of a two year old, I paid for it. The damn thing just wouldn't download. It errored out. Over and over again. So, screw you Yukes, and your lousy game. You made my kid cry.

WWE and UFC video game developer Yuke's and mobile game developer Jump Games will develop and publish a downloadable multiplatform fighting game and a mobile game, respectively, based on upcoming science fiction movie Pacific Rim.

In an agreement with Legendary Pictures, both studios will develop Pacific Rim games for a worldwide audience. Yuke's will develop a game for Windows PC and consoles, while the developer of mobile games such as Total Recall and Reel Steel will work to bring the license to smartphones and tablets.

The Pacific Rim film will be released in theatres July 12. It is unknown when the video game adaption will be released, but the Yuke's-developed Pacific Rim was recently listed on the Australian Classification Board with an M rating and a "gaming experience may change online" consumer advice note.

Pacific Rim is a free action game developed by Reliance Big Entertainment (UK). Based on the hit film franchise of the same name, it lets you play either as a Jaeger (giant robot) or a Kaiju (monsters) and fight in the city.

Similar to other fighting games like Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare, Pacific Rim gives its players the joy of playing as a giant robot and fighting against equally giant beings. It also has different game modes that offer a varied gaming experience. Also, it stays faithful to the source material in terms of character designs.
